Despite the cold winds of "crypto winter," the Seattle Web3 community showed up strong on December 9th for a fantastic evening of connection, insight, and celebration at the Web3 Holiday Mixer. Hosted in partnership by Stand With Crypto, Niftmint, Icarus Digital Asset Solutions, and TF Labs, the event was a powerful reminder of the deep roots and dedication within the local digital asset space.
🤝 Celebrating Consistency and Community
The evening was held at the Niftmint Offices and focused on bringing together those actively building and supporting the Web3 ecosystem. It was an opportunity to put aside market volatility and focus on the human connections that fuel innovation.
A huge thank you goes out to our incredible co-hosts and co-organizers, Arry Yu, Mark Chiongson, and Jonathan G. Blanco, whose efforts made the mixer a great success.
The event was especially meaningful for recognizing the consistent commitment of the community:
"Thanks to all the consistent members last night who have been attending our events for years and years..."

Seeing long-time contributors and new faces connect over food, drinks, and holiday cheer underscored the enduring strength of the Seattle Web3 network.
🎙️ A Look Back: Crypto Origins Panel
The mixer featured a great panel discussion that offered a personal and insightful look into the industry. Speakers Mike Hanson, Scott Olson, and Jonathan G. Blanco shared their compelling crypto origins stories, discussing what initially drew them into the world of decentralized technology and digital assets.
These personal narratives highlighted the core belief systems and foundational moments that continue to motivate builders, providing a moment of reflection on how far the technology—and the community—has come.

🔮 Looking Ahead: Web3 Trends for 2026
Building on the shared commitment and passion discussed during the mixer, 2026 is poised to be a pivotal year of maturation for the Web3 space. The consensus among builders suggests a shift from speculation to fundamental utility:
Focus on Real-World Utility (RWA): The year will see a massive push to connect decentralized finance (DeFi) tools and NFTs to tangible assets and mainstream business solutions, driving adoption beyond early enthusiasts.
The Regulatory Imperative: With increased attention from policymakers, 2026 is expected to bring crucial clarity in regulation, which will, in turn, unlock institutional investment and mass-market product development.
Decentralized Identity (DID) Takes Center Stage: As privacy and data ownership concerns grow, solutions for self-sovereign identity will move out of the lab and into real applications, fundamentally changing how users interact with the internet.
🚀 Final Thoughts
The Web3 Holiday Mixer successfully provided a space for networking, fun, and reflection, proving that enthusiasm for Web3 thrives regardless of market cycles. Connecting, eating, drinking, and being merry was a well-deserved way to cap off the year.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our organizations and the community this year! We look forward to continuing to build the future of Web3 together.
Happy Holidays and thanks to everyone who has supported us this year!
